4/22/2025 - With the 2025 NFL draft fast approaching the question of the day is where does Shedeur Sanders land. For a guy who always seemed to have a big throw or evasion in his college career, the idea that he's not first round material seems to be very new... for someone who used to be the QB2 in the draft. Where do we think he'll go? The Giants? somewhere else? We'll find out on Thursday.
4/11/2025 - The Florida Gators are the NCAA men's champions for the 3rd time in program history. With a NBA bound roster the Gators received a stellar performance from Guard Walter Clayton jr scoring 64 points combined in the Sweet 16, and Elite 8. According to Yahoo Sports, Clayton is the 24th ranked prospect in the upcoming 2025 NBA draft.
4/1/2025 - The New York Yankees are reportedly set to unveil a groundbreaking new concession item this season – the "Bronx Bomber Burger Sundae," featuring a double cheeseburger nestled in a waffle cone, topped with bacon bits, nacho cheese "sprinkles," and a cherry tomato. Yankee Stadium executive chef, Lou Piniella Jr. (no relation), enthusiastically described it as "a culinary grand slam, combining the best of savory and sweet in one handheld delight."

3/25/2025 - 6 days after Aaron Rodgers spent 6 hours with the Pittsburgh Steelers he still refuses to make a decision. Does he retire, does he continue to pine for the worst job in the NFL or does he wait to see if a team becomes as desperate. i don't have any doubt that the once great Rodgers is washed and is clinging onto his previous greatness. 3/11/2025 - Jalen Brunson sprained his ankle at the end of a game last week again the Los Angeles Lakers. The Knicks ended up losing that game and their superstar for 2 weeks. Coach Tom Thibodeau stated that replacing Brunson is not a one person job but the Knicks finally looked ready last night against the Kings playing an impressive defensive game and being lead by other sources like Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges. Do you think the Knicks can hold onto 3rd place while Brunson is on the bench?
3/3/2025 - As predicated, the Cincinnati Bengals have placed the franchise tag of wide receiver Tee Higgins for the second straight year. Wiggins will be paid 26.2 million for the 2025 season if he's unable to agree to a long-term contact with them by the July 15th deadline. Higgins was drafted in the second round of the 202 draft, the same year that they drafted 'cool' Joe Burrow which sparked their turnaround from worst to yearly AFC contender. How do you think the Bengals roster changes will play out this upcoming season?
2/17/2025 - It took less than 9 seconds for the US team to record 3 fights in it's 4 nations face-off against its biggest rival Canada on Saturday night. Unsurprisingly, Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, the modern day Bash Brothers were the instigators. The fight was started because of booing of the National Anthem before the game started. USA went on to win the game 3-1.
2/6/2025 - The San Antonio Spurs continue building around their star center Victor Wembanyama acquiring start lefty point guard De'Aaron Fox. Fox showcased how good the fit was by leading his new team to a one point win over the Hawks finishing with 24 points, 13 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. What do you think about this trade?
1/28/2025 - With the NCAA Senior Bowl coming up this weekend all eyes are on Ole Miss Rebel's Jaxon Dart. After a win and MVP nod at the Gator Bowl earlier in the month there is talk that Dart could become the QB3 in this year's NFL draft. Ole Miss Alum and NY Giants great Eli Manning recently congratulated Dart for breaking all of his college records. Is he the real deal and will he become a NY Giant?
1/22/2025 - The NFL coaching carousel continues and Ben Johnson, the OC for the top offensive in the league is headed to conference rival Chicago Bears as their next head coach. With as many believed most of their offensive skill pieces in place, The Bears are making a bet that Ben Johnson can bring Caleb Williams, the #1 pick in the 2024 draft the rest of the way. Will it work? And how will Detroit fair without him?
1/14/2025 - It's official, Mike McCarthy is no longer the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. After a largly successful tenure going 84-49 over five seasons, including three consecutive 12-5 seasons McCarthy and the Cowboys parted ways on Monday before the last game in Wild Card Weekend. Troy Aikman during was frustrated with the decision during the broadcast stating, "It suggests that there's not a real plan' Do we think this is a step in the plan of getting Coach Prime? Where does McCarthy end up?
1/6/2025 - Week 18 was one of attrition for most teams, not wanting to jeopardize their playoff runs on games that had no actual value. Unfortunately, this was not the case for The Packers who lost star rookie reciever Christian Watson in the 3rd quater due to a non-contact injury. Reports today say that he tore his ACL as well as additional damage and will be in jeopardy to start the final year of his rookie Contract. Without Watson for the final three quarters, the passing game sputtered similarly to it did the week before against The Vikings.
12/16/2024 - The Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is without a doubt my vote for the MVP. In an absolutely entertaining Super Bowl previous the Bills outlasted the top team in the NFC, and possibly the league 48-42. Allen completed 23-34 passes for 362 yards with 2 passing touchdowns as well as 2 rushing touchdowns. this ia a week removed from his 3/3 6 touchdown performance against the Rams. He is hungry for a title and i think everyone else should be afraid. Are the Bill's #1 this week Pete?
11/18/2024 - So it happend you guys.... The Italian Stallation Tommy "Cutlets' Devito will be the starter in week 12 for the NY Giants. After a bye week and an abysmal 2-8 start the Giants are looking to use the rest of the season to evaluate Tommy Devito's value as a bridge starter or trade chip. Hopefully, like last season, it'll make them watchable again. Until then. Go Don Bosco!
10/28/2024 - The AL Pennant winner NY Yankees Find themselves with their back against the wall. Down 0-2 in the World Series to the best team in baseball LA Dodgers. With questionable decisions in the Game 1 loss by their manager Aaron Boone and a complete absense of their captain and MVP candidate Aaron Judge, the Yankees must win tonight to shift the momentum of the series and at the very least to show some life
10/16/2024 - This week has the Jets trading for Davante Adams and the Bills for Amari Cooper. Both the Steelers and the Chiefs look to be in the market for an experienced WR1. What deal in this NFL season is so far the most valuable? Will the AFC east improve with the deals from this week?
10/7/2024 - LeBron James and son Bronny James made history Sunday night as the first father and son to play together in an NBA game. While it was only slightly over 4 minutes, there were several memorable moments including them standing together arguing an illegal screen. LeBron is entering his 22nd professional season but has expressed that he's like to play with Bronny for at least a few years.
9/30/2024 - The New York Knicks made a blockbuster trade over the weekend grabbing Minnesota Wolves superstar big man Karl Anthony-Towns. New Jersey native, Towns has been long linked with the Knicks. With the pre-season looming the Knicks decided to break up the Nova Knicks and send Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle to Minnesota to go all in on a title this year.
9/16/2024 - While only in week 2 we hadn't had a breakout performance from one of the touted rookies from this year's draft. While 1.1 Caleb Williams is still struggling, the top receiver in the Draft, Marvin Harrison Jr, had a breakout performance. With 2 incredible touchdowns that showcased both his speed and separation. It seems like the cardinals top target has arrived.
9/10/2024 - The Cincinnati Bengals and Cool Joe Burrow were handed a shocking loss by the underdog New England Patriots in their week 1 tilt. Offensively the Bengals looked loss and some would say this is due to the drama in their wide receiver room and the training camp holdout of wr1 Ja'Marr Chase. While on the field for the game, Burrow was still missing #2 option Tee Higgins. What do we think about the status of Cincinnati as a league favorite going into week 2?
8/21/2024 - As the pre-season continues and NFL teams start to set their rosters for the year the Washington Commanders have named Jayden Daniels as their starting quarterback for the 2024 NFL season. Last year's Heisman Trophy winner is set to be the team's eighth Week 1 starting QB in as many years. Hopefully, with new management, that trend with change.
8/11/2024 - Steph Curry took the fate of the USA basketball program in his own hands on Saturday night in the Men's gold medal game at the Olympics scoring 4 3 pointers in the final 2:58 propelling the boys who were down by 1 to a 98-87 win and another gold medal for the dream team.
7/29/2024 - Jordan Love's holdout tactics from last week seems to work as he received a record contract extension this past week. The Packers QB landed a four-year, $220 million extension for a total of $55 Million a year. This ties him with Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence as the highest average annual value in NFL history. Do we think Jordan Love is a top 3 QB? (or do we think those other guys are?
7/22/2024 - The Green Bay Packers started training camp on Monday. Unfortunately, they did so without rising star and starting QB Jordan Love. Packer's general manager Brian Gutekunst discussed the situation stating he spoke to Love's agent on Saturday and he was told love will not practice or start the season until he has a new deal. The age of NFL holdouts continue but i am not convinced Love has enough credit in Green Bay to make them wait for him.
6/23/2024 - Summer time blues are starting for the New York Yankees losing Giancarlo Stanton to a strained hamstring this week and Anthony Rizzo for longer in a freak collision at first base fracturing his arm. They decided to look at the trade market for reinforcements getting journeyman J.D Davis from the Athletics. Davis is hitting .232 with 4 home runs and 135 plate appearances this season.
6/17/2024 - Former MVP and seven-time All-Star Mookie Betts broke his left hand when he was hit by a pitch this week against the Kansas City Royals. Betts is having another MVP season currently batting .304, with a .405 on base percentage and 86 hits which are all top 10 stats in the entire league. Betts will miss time but the Dodgers probably will survive on the strength of their All-Star team lineup.
6/3/2024 - Chennedy Carter's off-ball foul on Caitlin Clark this past weekend was upgrade to a flagrant 1. This is after the Sky's 71-70 loss to the Fever this weekend. This is another event in a long season of extra physical/aggressive play that is going on in regards to Clark. The WNBA world is torn between the press that Clark brings to the league vs the resentment that she is clearly causing.
5/20/2024 - After an unbelievable amount of mounting injuries the New York Knicks run came to an end last night in a game 7 routing to what ended up being a faster, healthier Indiana Pacers. The final nail was Knicks MVP and star guard Jalen Brunson breaking his shooting hand with 3 minutes left in the third quarter. The team while expressing their disappointment fought their way through the playoffs without star big man Julius Randle as well as Mitchell Robinson, Bogdon Bogdoniach, OG Anouby and a clearly playing injured Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson.
5/13/2024 - The Atlanta hawks just overcame 3% odds and rocketed up the draft board getting the #1 pick in the 2024 NBA draft this year. The Hawks 36-46 this season finished 10th place in the Eastern conference. The Hawks haven't won a postseason series since a surprising run to the Eastern Conference finals in 2021. Hawks GM Landry Fields spoke of how shocked he was after knowing the possibility.
5/6/2024 - WNBA #1 pick and college phenom, Caitlin Clark made her preseason debut this weekend with a opening line of 21 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. However, it wasn't enough to propel the Fever past the Dallas Wings thanks to last minute heroics and a game winning 3 by veteran Arike Ogunbowale. Clark was happy with her performance but was not in the game on the last play and did have 5 turnovers.
4/30/2024 - Our 2024 NFL first draft pick Caleb Williams already has a legend built up around him. Whether it was his painted nails, his constant kindness and smiles, his impromptu meetup with new team mate Rome Odunze or DAAAAAA Bears, all eyes will be on him come the Fall and the start of the season. Will the Bears compete? Will Williams be as good as this years Offensive Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud? Time will tell.
4/23/2024 - With a last 30 seconds for the ages in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference playoffs the New York Knicks go on an 8-0 run to overcome a tough 76er's team and 30+ point game from an Injured Joel Embiid. The Knicks now have a 2-0 series lead going into game 3 in Philadelphia and a whole Lot of momentum . Controversy over the lack of a foul call and a missed timeout mar the end of the game as Tyrese Maxey did get mugged. However, it was still a great ending to a very good basketball game.
4/16/2024 - The world's greatest college female basketball player, Caitlin Clark, was taken #1 in the WNBA draft last night by the Indiana Fever. Draft tickets were sold for the first time since 2016 and the 1000 tickets sold out within 15 minutes. Unfortunately that didn't help Clark's contract value which will be only 338k over 4 years. While the highest valued contract it still amount to only 76k/yr in 2024.... for the best College player in the country. An unfortunate travesty and a significant amount less than the 5$ million offered to her by Ice Cube's Big3
4/9/2024 - UConn is the firs team to win back to back men's basketball championships with a decisive victory over the Purdue Boilermakers on Monday night. Purdue's big man Zach Edey had 37 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat but it just wasn't enough to keep down the Huskies who ended up winning 75-60. Coach Dan Hurley impressed with the team has confirmed he's staying on in chase of a NCAA Dynasty.
4/2/2024 - One year gone and a different result as Caitlin Clark leads Iowa in a win over LSU to reach the final 4. The 2023 rematch, played in my town of Albany, NY, lived up to it's hype as Clark lead her #1 seeded Hawkeyes to a 94-87 victory over defending national champs LSU. Clark had 41 points, 12 assists and 6 rebounds breaking even more records in her record shattering season.
3/19/2024 - The number of free agent starting pitchers in the MLB is down to one. the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Blake Snells just signed a two-year, 62$ million deal with the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Snell's deal gives him a higher average annual value in exchange for fewer years on his contract and is able to re-enter free agency next season.
3/4/2024 - Eagles' center and successful podcaster Jason Kelce announces retirement after 13 seasons in the NFL. Kelce had prepared comments that talked about why he loves football, how's he's overrated and what made him choose this as a career. His brother and mother were in attendance and everyone was sharing a tear for arguably one of the most relatable professional athletes I've seen in a long time.
2/4/2024 - The classic NCAA basketball, UNC v Duke, matchup happened again last night and in this iteration North Carolina beat the Blue Devils 93-84. After the victory UNC big man Armando Bacot stated the ACC runs through him posting a huge game with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Bacot had been taking a backseat to team mate RJ Davis but was recently told by his coach to take a bigger role.
1/28/2024 - Jannik Sinner came back from two sets down to win his first major at this year's Australian Open., The fourth seeded Sinner had only lost one set coming into the final match but found himself down two before coming back to win. Sinner is only the second Italian man to win the event.
1/23/2024 - Sports illustrated announced this week that it will 'lay off a significant number, possibly all" of the staff. Struggling with being profitable for years, this conclusion is an unfortunate end of an era 70 years old.
1/14/2024 - After a fantastic season, the Dallas Cowboys again lose in the first round of the playoffs. The 2nd ranked cowboys lose to the 7th ranked Packers marking the 13th postseason appearance in which Dallas failed to reach the conference championship game, extending their own record for the longest such streak in NFL history.
12/17/2023 - Tiger Woods and his 14-yr old son Charlie took part in the PNC championship this past weekend. On the 9th hole Charlie went viral by chipping in a birdie from the green and then doing his father signature fist pump celebration. Team Wood's ended up losing to team Langer by 2 strokes.
12/10/2023 - In an unprecedented deal, Shohei Ohtani is headed to the Dodgers for 700 million dollars of 10 years. this is not only the biggest deal in baseball but the biggest in American sports. The Dodgers went 100-62 in 2023 and the addition of Ohtani makes them an instant World Series Favorite.
11/19/2023 - Tommy DeVito, the undrafted kid from Jersey has lead the New York Giants to their most impressive win of the season against the Washington Commanders. The rookie threw 3 touchdown passes the most for a NY Giant qb since 1950 through his first 2 games. We can safely say the movie writes itself.
11/12/2023 - Joshua Dobbs and the Minnesota Vikings continue to roll. After 312 yards and t tds less than 2 weeks after he's joined the team, the story of the Vikings hanging on to the 2023-24 season is one of legend.
11/6/2023 - The Garbage fire season continues for the New York Giants. After returning from injury this week QB Daniel Jones tore his ACL in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season. Backup QB Tyrod Taylor is also on IR with a rib injury . The only remaining QB's on the giants roster are undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito and veteran Matt Barkley. It seems that the decision making of a Giants organization with no offensive line, and now no quarterbacks should probably at this point be questioned.
10/30/2023 - Five-star forward Cooper Flagg, the No 1 overall prospect this recruiting cycle, just committed to the Duke Blue Devils. Flagg's commitment jumps duke to the #1 spot in the sports class of the 2024 team recruiting rankings. As well, it gives coach Jon Scheyer and team a major building block for the 2024-25 season.
10/15/2023 - After an upset filled October, none of the top 5 teams are in the LCS of the MLB playoffs. The 104 win Braves, the 101 win Orioles and the 100 win Dodgers have all been eliminated, 2 of them in the first playoff round. We are guaranteed the lowest World Series wins since 2014. Is there a problem with the current state of the MLB playoffs? We certainly think so.
10/8/2023 - Las Vegas Aces dominate the second half to win the WNBA finals opener. Jackie Young and Kelsey plum were dominate and combined for 72 points as The Aces won 99-82. The 2 best teams in the legue will continue to face off in a best of 5 series for the 2023 title.
10/1/2023 - Legendary knuckleballer and Red Sox legend Tim Wakefield died of brain cancer today. he was 57 years old. He was a core part of the 2004 World Series team and a absolute workhorse. The Red Sox organization posted today on their social media pages wishing their best to his family and mourning his loss.
9/24/2023 - The dolphins scored 70 points on the Denver Broncos today in a record outing beating them 70-20. Tua Tagovailoa completed his first 17 passes and finished 23-26 with 309 yards and 4 touchdowns. With the Broncos still not being impressive this year and clearly not playing well on either side of the ball the question arise about whether or not they are that much better with Sean Payton
9/3/2023 - The US Men's basketball team was eliminated in the FIBA world cup this weekend by long time powerhouse Lithuania. While the loss was a shock they still qualify for the Olympics Both teams qualified for quarterfinal spots last week making this game purely for seeding purposes as well as bragging rights.
8/21/2023 - Inter-Miami and the MLS didn't need to wait long for its Lionel Messi moment. On Saturday night Inter Miami won the league cup. David Beckham, co-owner of the team, had to wait 5 years before his first MLS title with the LA Galaxy. Messi has done it in 5 weeks.
8/5/2023 - After 732 days without beings in a competition Simone Biles returned today to the U.S Classic. Her score ended at 14,000 which was third best in the competition but is a signal of things to come for her. Simone had taken a break from the sport to deal with anxiety and stress. Hopefully this is a sign that she is still more then ready to compete at the highest level.
7/30/2023 - After some harsh words by Sean Payton regarding last year's coaching of the Denver Broncos, Aaron Rodgers umps to the aid of his current offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett say he should 'keep his coaches name out of his mouth' Rodgers took offense to the accomplished Payton taking the opportunity to put down another pro and spoke out against it this weekend.
7/23/2023 - According to sources, NBA board approves the sales of the Charlotte Hornets. The group buying the team has a minority ownership with the Atlanta Hawks and the Hornets themselves. Michael Jordan who is currently a majority owner of the team will stay on in a minority capacity. After an abysmal season and the drafting of Brandon Miller this year hopefully this will help the hornets turn it around,
7/9/2023 - Greg Popovich, the NBA's all-time winningest coach has a mew deal. The Spurs announced on Saturday that Popovich has agreed to a new five-year deal worth 80 million dollars. Pop who had a rough 2023 campaign is undoubtedly excited about the prospect of rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama
7/2/2023 - The Chasing M's Foundation, which was established by Damar Hamlin continues to grow. Hamlin says he is thankful for the ripple effect of his near-death experience as it's provided millions of dollars to continue to provide CPR training for folks. On July 9th Chasing M's plans on providing free training for hundreds at PNC part in his hometown of Pittsburgh
6/25/2023 - Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas had her second triple-double in five days Sunday marking her fourth of the season and setting a WNBA record. Thomas states, 'I want to win," The Suns are 12-3 and in second place behind the league best Las Vegas Aces, the only team to beat them this season.
6/18/2023 - Free Agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins visited with the Patriots on Thursday. Hopkins, 31, has not been in a rush to sign with a team and has considered waiting until closer to training camp in late July to make a move. Barring an unexpected turn, bot sides are expected to take some time assessing their next move.
6/11/2023 - Phoenix Mercury coach Vanessa Nygaard states that they'll be making some adjustments to their travel policies regarding the safety of their players. The team was accosted by a Blaze Media YouTube personality on Sunday morning before heading to Indiana for a game. The league itself stated that star Britney Griner has been approved to fly charter for WNBA games.
6/1/2023 -After 3 seasons in Arizona, star receiver DeAndre Hopkins is a free agent. Hopkins will be making the free agency tour in the coming weeks, but right not it's not exactly clear who might be interested in him. So far, he's had a tepid market with several teams including the Jets, Cowboys, Lions and Titans. But he's also been talked about with the Bills and Ravens. Where do you think he'll go?
5/21/2023 - The Denver Nuggets taking a commanding 3 games to 0 lead against the LA Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. This was on the back of a blistering hot 37 points from start Jamaal Murray. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in NBA playoff history.
5/7/2023 - After a tragic week at Churchill Downs which included 2 horses in undercard races needing to be euthanized and the late scratch of the derby favorite Forte due to veterinary concerns. Mage, a lightly raced 16to1 shot wins the first race of the Triple Crown, with an exciting last minute closing to past Two Bills in the final furlong.
4/30/2023 - So after all the theorizing and testing the Carolina Panthers select Bryce Young as the first pick in the 2023 NFL draft. For the last 4 seasons the Panthers have been taking who is playing quarterback a year at a time. With this year's massive trade with the Bears to get the number one pick that has turned into Bruce Young, Frank Reich is hoping that will come to and end for him as well in his new job.
4/23/2023 - A gambling scandal arose in the NFL this week as four Lions, including Jameson Williams were suspended. Quintez Cephus and safety CJ more have been suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games as well as Commanders defensive end Shaka Toney.
4/16/2023 - New York Yankee Top prospect and Man Crush of the year contender Anthony Volpe hit his first home run this week and explained to press how special it was because of Aaron Judge and the rest of the team. 21 year old Volpe, NY native and lifelong Yankee fan explained how he blacked out during his first trot around the bases only to have the moment made more special by hitting back to back dingers with Captain Aaron Judge. Struggling this season, Volpe still is all smiles and talked to press about how great it's been talking hitting with all guys.
4/12/2023 - The Lakers rallied against the Timberwolves and clinched the 7th spot in the playoffs despite a blunder by Anthony Davis on the final play of regulation. Dennis Schroder appeared to have secured the victory when he took LeBron James' pass and hit a time breaking 3 pointer. But Davis Fouled Mike Conley with just .1 second showing on the clock which allowed 3 free throws and forced overtime which thankfully the Lakers controlled winning 108-102.
4/9/2023 - Tiger Woods withdrew from the Masters before play resumed on Saturday. Woods said he aggravated a previous plantar fasciitis injury in his right foot. This was the same injury that caused him to withdraw from the Hero World Challenge, an event that he hosted in the Bahamas in February. Woods was 6-over through his first seven completed holes of the third round. He was 9-over through 43 holes, which was worst among the 54 players who made the 36-hole cut, and 22 strokes behind leader Brooks Koepka.
4/2/2023 - San Diego State's Lamont Butler hit the game winning shot to send Aztecs to national title game. Butler got the ball with less than one second remaining and the game sending them to their first national championship game against UConn. Florida Atlantic was up as many as 14 points in but allowed the Aztecs to come back.
3/26/2023 - UConn continues to roll in the NCAA Men's basketball tournament destroying the Gonzaga Bulldogs 82-54 and reaching their first Final Four in 9 years. This year's Huskies being an elite defensive team and probably a top 5 offensive team have a strong chance of winning the tournament now that all the 'top' teams have been eliminated.
3/5/2023 - NFL Combine day 3 this week showed off QB's and skill players. With Bryce Young refusing to throw Anthony Richardson and CJ Stroud dazzled. Richardson performed the best. Possessing Derrick Henry size, Richardson set QB combine records in the vertical jump (40.5") and broad jump (10'9") while finishing fourth all time in the 40-yard dash (4.44)
2/26/2023 - In an effort to have the most expensive infield in baseball, the Padres are finalizing an 11-year, $350 million contractor extension with start 3rd baseman Manny Machado. Machado said earlier this week he intended to opt out of the final five years of his current contract.
2/23/2023 - Yankees starting pitcher Frankie Montas has scheduled shoulder surgery. While everything went according to plan he won't be able to start throwing until at least late May. 2/12/2023 - The more Sean Payton talks the more it seems like a major makeover is coming for the Denver Broncos. Only hours removed from his first meeting with Russel Wilson Payton was seen in the Superbowl media center talking to All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs. After the disaster season the Broncos had it would be naive to think change wasn't coming.

1/29/2023 - No 2 Alabama basketball was stunned by a lopsided defeat to unranked Oklahoma on Saturday. Oklahoma got out to an early lead and never looked back. This is another example of the averageness of this year's Crimson Tide when the effort and intensity are not there.
1/26/2023 - Bill Obrien has returned as the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots after one of the most dysfunctional seasons in the Bill Belichick Era. They were in the bottom 3rd of the league in every offensive category and their 18.2 PPG was the lowest since year 1 under Belichick in 2000. Hopefully the return to an offensively minded OC will help the Pats turn it around next year.

1/15/2023 - The Jacksonville Jaguars came back from a 27-0 first half deficient yesterday to advanced in the playoffs to the AFC divisional round. It was the third largest comeback in playoff history. This was after QB Trevor Lawrence threw 4 interceptions in the first half but then came back for 288 yards and four touchdowns in the second half.
1/12/2023 - Former NFL Star Peyton Hillis is still recovering after almost drowning while saving his children from in Pensacola, FL last week. His Girlfriend, Angela Cole has been updating his recovery via Instagram. Peyton was taken off the ventilator this week and is on the road to recovery.
1/5/2023 - Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills player that experienced sudden cardiac arrest after a hit in the Monday Night Football game this week, woke up today and his first question was 'Did we win?' He is neurologically sound and is moving his hands and feet, doctors said on Thursday. Supporters nationwide are drawing a sigh of relief after they rallied to him throughout the week.
1/3/2023 - Going to use this space, for today, to ask for your prayers for Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest after tackling Tee Higgins during last night's postponed game. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Hamlin has a foundation, Chasing M's, that has been raising money for a toy drive. His stated goal was $2,500, but by early Tuesday morning, donations had surged to more than $3 million.
12/27/2022 - Buffalo Bills Star WR Stefon Diggs got an early Christmas present for a 9-year fan who just lost his father recently. Diggs who also lost his father at a young age got Aydin Laborde a custom pair of hand-painted sneakers with a photo of him and his father on one side. In a tweet Diggs stated, "Not Many know what it's like to lose they daddy for real. I remember it felt like i lost everything. i had to make myself a man. But it takes a village so be sure to always pay it forward!!!..."
12/18/2022 - After 15 years, a brief retirement and 5 World Cup appearances Lionel Messi has finally won a World Cup. Messi scored 2 goals in regulation but Mbappe had other plans and had 3 goals himself. Tied after regulation play Argentina won 4-2 in the shootout in dramatic fashion.
12/14/2022 - Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy told the head of the international Olympic committee that his country opposes Russian athletes taking part in the 2024 Summer games in Paris. Zelensky noted that 184 Ukrainian athletes already have died in the war that has now spanned the entirety of 2022
12/8/2022 - President Biden announces that Brittney Griner has been released from Russian detention and is in US custody. She was released in a prisoner swap that inolved Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout. Biden states, "She's safe, she's on a plane, she's on her way home." Griner was arrested way back in February at the begining of the war in Ukraine and has been held in Russain detention since. Cherelle Griner was with the President for the annoucement and thanked the administration for helping secure her wife’s release.

11/21/2022 - After a struggling sophomore season, it was announced today that Atlanta Falcon's TE Kyle Pitts suffered a torn MCL in Yesterday's game against the Chicago Bears. The diagnosis is following an MRI that Pitts received. This will probably end his season with a disappointing stat-line of 28-356-2, a shocking lack of production as compared to his rookie season.
