While you can't hear our beautiful voices on the main show this week, you CAN hear me rumblin bumblin stumblin through some new NFL power rankings!
This week let's re-assess after a few MONSTER post June 1st trades and free agency moves that have shaken the league to the core...
The Rams give zero f*#%'s about picks, the cap, and things normal teams worry about. Grabbing Myles Garrett and the whispers of Aaron Donald unretiring coupled with some pretty big pickups in the secondary to compliment one of the top offenses and quarterbacks and coaching in the NFL? Feels like they're cheating their way to an auto Superbowl win before a single snap. Seahawks diminish to #2...for now. The Patriots are our next BIG SPLASH team acquiring top WR1 AJ Brown from the Eagles amongst many other aggressive free agency and trade moves. On paper they rival or exceed the Bills in the AFC East now. Set up for success is an understatement. Broncos go "woah" and slow down slightly dropping to 4, George Kittle is gonna play on one Achilles to put the 49ers up to 5, evil electric power station waves be damned. Bears slip to 6th, Bills...rise to 7? OK I'm guilty of watching a lot of very sexy Josh Allen to DJ Moore minicamp throws and all the Joe Brady coaching interview hype pieces, and c'mon, the giant Buffaloes are being installed at the new stadium. LFG, BBs!
The Chiefs meteoric rise halts at 8th, Ravens riiiiise to 9th, knocking the Eagles down to 10th along the way (sorry, you lost a great WR and the tushes aren't pushin like they used to), Bengals are...assembling a competent defense? Burrow's brash bold boasting of the bowl of super? Puts em up 4 spots to 11th! Speaking of defensive improvements, I'm putting the Cowboys up 5 spots to 16th, don't make me regret this. I'm favoring the Vikings up to 17, fading the Jaguars to 18, and yikes, Giants down 3 to 20...your QB has made some sketchy PR moves that might hurt the locker room and Nabers is still clearly...well, hurt (sorry, John).
I'm running out of time so Steelers go up 2 cause they finally signed the ancient-garbage-human-but-still-better-than-what-they-had Aaron Rodgers, the Browns go down 2 for losing Myles Garrett, and the Dolphins are for real for real tanking, K bye see ya in the Preseason!
