It's time to look at the 2025 Season's Post-Mortem power rankings! I had to take a hard look at teams where they ended up, what personnel they retain, coach change-ups, injury recovery time, et cetera. Disclaimer! I kept these changes relative to the Championship week. We didn't cover all of my changes during Super Bowl week, and hey, this is my list!

Is Mark gonna be mad that I bumped the Rams up to 2 over the Patriots here even though they were just in the Super Bowl? Sorry, the Patriot's Oline and Drake Maye concerned me throughout these playoffs! I truly think the Rams would've beat the Pats in the big game too. That said, they stay at 3 because of the bright future ahead and that shiny $60 mil in cap space to work with.

Moving on, I was told by my co-hosts and our most frequent show guest (hey, Jefim) that a good head coach can make a HUGE difference. After much arguing and subsequent pondering, I've moved the 49ers up 3 spots to 5th solely on the power of their offensive coaching scheme and the hopefully healthier talent going into next season. Jags, Texans, and Packers are still hanging around at 7 8 and 9, and my Bills...I had to drop them 4 spots to 10th due to replacing 9 year stalwart McDermott with Mr. "promote from within" Joe Brady. It's just too uncertain, and as excited as Jim Leonhard at defensive coordinator sounds, it could take a few years to fully rebuild the defense.

Some teams rose or regressed to their "norms" in the middle. The Chiefs popped up 5 spots to 21 for reuniting with OC Eric Bieniemy and the faith in Andy Reid despite a hobbling Mahomes. Hey, Giants! I moved you up 3 spots to 22 for snagging coach John Harbaugh to usher-usher-usher in a hopeful return to greatness. Now get healthy and don't make me regret the bump! Steelers took a massive 10 spot fall replacing Mike Tomlin with Mike McCarthy? Did they get their Mikes mixed up? DA RAIDERS may have snagged the crown jewel of the coaching carousel in Klint Kubiack, but they only rise 3 until we see what they do at quarterback. Browns? Jets? When no one wants to be your new head coach, it's not a them problem, it's a you problem. OK that's a wrap! I'll see you all back here after the 2026 NFL Draft. Time for a looonng nap. ~ Pete
